Another great weekend at Aonach Mor for the Ft William DH Mtb World Cup is now over with just the last of the clearing up to do and the whole World Cup circus moving over to Leogang in Austria for Round 3 next weekend.  Special thanks and congratulations should go to the organisers, RARE Management who put on a splendid event as always with everyone concerned getting into the spirit and having a great time.  Even the shuttle bus drivers should be championed for being friendly, helpful and cheery!

Our stand was busy in the Tech Area with our racers, Lorenzo Suding and Justin Norek from Black Arrows in Italy being supported by John from The Bikeworx's excellent bike mechanic skills.  Justin gained valuable WC experience in his first season on the tour while Lorenzo was looking strong in his race run until a big crash slowed him down somewhat.. He still bettered his qualifying time by 4 seconds though so would have set a flying time had he stayed on the whole way down!  We'll hopefully have a riders eye view video of one of Lorenzo's practice runs on here soon so you can experience the course for yourself!

We had a very busy competition going over the course of the weekend with contestants entering a raffle to win a place on our next First Aid for Mountain Bikers course in September.  The lucky winner is Greg Mathieson who has been notified by email and will be claiming his prize through our website.  Bad luck to all other entrants, we'll be back next year though with more competitions and fun at one of Scotland's biggest and best events.  See you there!
