Adult Dinghy Sailing Improver and Advanced Modules (2 Days each)

Collective Training’s Adult Dinghy Sailing Courses provide a progression from the Adult Dinghy Sailing Levels 1 – 3, following the RYA’s Sailing Syllabus.

They are aimed at people who have completed at least Level 2 and wish to take their sailing further.  The 5 Modules reflect the diverse areas of dinghy sailing and allow you to mix and match the skills that are relevant to you.

Seamanship Skills (2 Days) teaches you further boat handling skills and manoeuvres such as picking up a man overboard.  You will learn to be a competent sailor in a wide range of conditions and circumstances.

Day Sailing (2 Days) teaches you about navigation and how to plan a passage at sea in a small boat.  You will learn to make decisions based on the circumstances and plan and prepare for a day away from home.

Sailing with Spinnakers (2 Days) introduces sailing with either a conventional or an asymmetric spinnaker.  From rigging to sailing the best course with your spinnaker, it’s all covered in this course, bringing some more excitement to your sailing!

Performance Sailing (2 Days) is for more experienced sailors looking to sail faster in a high performance boat.  This course will improve your boat handling in all conditions allowing you to sail faster and more efficiently!

Start Racing (2 Days) is the introduction to racing course.  This will set you up to take part in club racing confidently and covers all aspects of a race from start to finish.  You will also learn how to maximise your boat speed and outmanoeuvre your opponents!

These courses are run as private or group bookings only with a maximum of 3 participants per course.  They can be run at any suitable location in Scotland.
