Emergency First Aid – Appointed Person – 4 hours

This course is for those who have done a ‘Workplace Hazard Assessment’ and decided that their workplace has no requirement for a First Aider.

An Appointed Person’s role is to maintain first aid facilities and equipment, take charge of a first aid action plan, and call the emergency services should an incident occur.  They are not Qualified First Aiders and as such cannot carry out any first aid treatment that they have not been trained to do.

Techniques that may be covered include:

  • Incident management priorities
  • Managing the unconscious casualty
  • Resuscitation
  • Treating major blood loss
  • HSE (First Aid) Regulations

It is important to note that this course is not a replacement for the Statutory Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification and as such we only provide it as a bespoke course.
