First Aid at Work (HSE Approved) - 3 days

This new 3 day (18 hour) First Aid at Work course covers both primary and secondary care for casualties, the treatment of workplace first aid incidents, and basic health and safety regulations.  It is suitable for workplaces which are deemed to have a 'High Hazard' rating by the HSE.

  • Syllabus of the Emergency First Aid at Work Course
  • Injuries to bones, muscles and joints
  • Suspected spinal injuries
  • Chest injuries
  • Burns scalds and eye injuries
  • Sudden poisoning and anaphylactic shock
  • First aid for major illness (including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes)

This course meets the statutory requirements of the HSE regulations and includes an independent assessment of both practical and theoretical skills learnt on the course.

First Aid at Work Certificates are certified by ITC First Aid and are HSE Approved. The certificate remains valid for three years.

It is strongly recommended that an annual 3 hr refresher course is taken to remain up to date with any changes that occur.
