Paediatric Emergency First Aid Unit 1 (6 hours)

This Paediatric Emergency First Aid Course Unit 1 is the first part of the full Paediatric First Aid Course (12 Hours).  It is suitable for parents, relatives or carers of young children and babies.

It does not meet Ofsted requirements, so if you are a childcare professional, you may need to complete both Units 1 & 2 of the full Paediatric First Aid Course. 

As set out by ITC guidelines, core content includes:

• Dealing with incidents safely
• A systematic approach to incident management
• Collapse - causes and treatment
• External and internal bleeding and shock
• CPR for infants and children
• Choking

Paediatric First Aid Courses apply essential first aid principles and life saving techniques to the child care environment.

We can tailor the course to your specific needs or situation, there is also time on the course to include adult first aid skills if required.  Please Contact Collective Training in advance if you wish to include this.

It may be suitable for Pre-School or Nursery staff, play workers or Children’s Centre staff, teachers or teaching assistants, Parent & Toddler Group volunteers, childminders & nannies, au pairs, babysitters, community youth workers, foster parents, parents, relatives or carers.

Paediatric First Aid Courses are certified by ITC First Aid. The certificate remains valid for three years.
