Outdoor First Aid Course Calendar

Outdoor First Aid Emergency Action is a 1 day (8 hour) course that covers essential life saving first aid techniques for the outdoor environment.

The course follows the rationale of the Emergency First Aid Skills unit from the ITC Certificate in Outdoor First Aid (SQA) and is suitable for both urban and rural situations.  The content reflects the provision of first aid care in diverse outdoor situations. 

As set out by ITC guidelines, core content includes:

• Incident assessment
• Calling for help
• Treatment of the unconscious casualty
• CPR techniques
• Dealing with bleeding
• Contents of an outdoor first aid kit
• Medical emergencies

Each practical, hands-on course is tailored to your specific work or recreational environment.

Outdoor First Aid Emergency Action Courses are certified by ITC First Aid. The certificate remains valid for three years.
